Bella Channing and her grandmother, Lily, run a rescue centre (Bella's Rescue), for dogs of all kinds, including retired police and military. When their major sponsor, Stockard's Pet Foods, suddenly notifies them that they have sold the company, not only is the sponsorship discontinued, but the new owner claims that the rescue is on Stockard property. With the threat of eviction looming, Lily and Bella set out to find the documents to prove Lily's rightful ownership. When all attempts fail, Bella turns to JR, the son and heir to the Stockard estate and asks for his help.
After historic love letters start anonymously appearing in Kallie Sharp's mailbox, the hobby farmer searches for her secret admirer and opens herself up to love.
